Estimate your contribution with MyinTuition

In order to complete this estimator, you will need the following:

  1. Previous year 收入 tax return and W2 statement(s) for the student and 父母亲
  2. 占用你20分钟的时间
  3. If your parents do not live together as of today (due to divorce, 分离, or having never been married), you will need to complete this form twice. Once for your custodial parent and once for your non-custodial parent. Because this is a situation that is not represented when using federal forms, you will need to complete this worksheet in the following way:1. If both parents are currently unmarried, fill out the form twice, using each parent as single. This will give you a contribution for each parent.2. If one or both parents are remarried, the parent will need to separate out their 收入 from their spouse (including assets and 收入 from assets) and will need to fill out the form with only their information (not including the spouse in the household numbers when completing the form). 的 second parent will fill out the form for their contribution amount with only their 收入 as well.

This tool is designed to give students an early indication of the amounts and types of financial aid for which they might qualify. 的 figures generated here will estimate the net price for a full-time, first-year student attending 科罗拉多大学 during the upcoming academic year. This calculator is not an application for or a guarantee of a particular financial aid package. Instead, it is intended to assist families in making informed decisions concerning college choices. 学生 and parents completing the calculator are asked to answer some basic questions about family finances, so it will be helpful to have recent tax forms or pay stubs on hand before beginning.

这个过程检查

  • 收入
  • 家庭成员人数
  • number of children in college
  • 资产、储蓄
  • 投资
  • 抵押贷款债务
  • 医疗费用
  • how close parents are to retirement
  • 入学凭证

This complex process has a simple objective - to determine what you and your family can afford to contribute to your education. We believe that families have the first responsibility for contributing to college costs. If parents are divorced or separated, the calculator should be completed by the custodial and non-custodial parents individually. 的 separate EFCs should then be added together for the final family contribution. We provide an affordability plan to help meet the difference in college costs and your family's resources.

你应该注意到, except in unusual circumstances, 科罗拉多大学 will not award need-based aid without taking into consideration parents' financial circumstances. In the case of divorced or separated parents, each parent is expected to provide financial information.
